Beautifully put. Reminds me of a quote by Bhagavan Das in the film What About Me?, that we’re a cork in the ocean and resistance is futile and we’ll be better off when we can just let go (brutally paraphrased, but you get the gist).
By the way, have you seen What About Me? by 1 Giant Leap? The most beautiful mix of imagery, music, spirituality, philosophy…I’ve watched it about 30 times over.

Very well put. Short and sweet.
Wonderful! Who wrote this? (If your own self, I am not surprised.) I’d like to use it as one of my favorite quotes on my FB account, but would like to give credit where credit is due. Please let me know at your convenience.
Damn right that’s why we all have choices there is no destiny no fate everything that has happened has happened because of you no one else nothing else
Love this. Words to live by definitely, thanks for sharing!
Like the end, but don’t understand how we are supposed to not try and control a path one is supposed to create for ourselves, as said in the first sentence. How can we create while not controlling? Creation of a path for one’s self requires a plan and control of what someone should and should not be doing. This, in turn, causes the world to react in certain ways depending on the action done unto it by the actor. However, there are things and phenomena in this world that cannot be explained through human reasoning, but to say we are futiley out of control of how, where and with whom we end up in this world is a complete fallacy. This is the beautiful curse of human nature. The ability to control, albeit to a limited extent, the happenings of a world to which we are bound and subject to for our lifetime. I wish I could say more on this but I feel a comment would not suffice for an full explanation of my own reasoning.
Begs the question.
Also saying that one should not follow a pre-ordained path and create a path instead, is doing just that – following the pre-ordained path of “path creation”. It’s the same with those who say that everything is relative, except for the statement that everything is relative, because it itself is absolute. Kinda self-contradictory but perhaps cute in a hippy sense.
Alex, I am soooo glad you are back! I have found that becoming more comfortable living within an unfolding process has released that need to control things that were never mine to begin with. Looking forward to your next post and peace to you my friend~
